Frequently asked questions about the eurasier

1. How difficult is it for a Eurasier puppy to adapt to its new home?

No, depending on the puppy the adaptation process can be longer or shorter, but in 2-3 days he will be adapted to his new home. It is normal that the first day the puppy does not eat, cries or tries to hide in his new home. You must take into account that he does not know the place where he is, but little by little, with the passage of time, the puppy will start to show himself as he did when he was with his brothers and mother.

2. Can I choose the name of the pedigree?

Yes, normally, in each litter the names start with a different letter, but if you are interested in a specific name, please let us know. The pedigree name has to be communicated before the puppies are one month old, so if you are interested in choosing the name, let us know as soon as possible. The pedigree name does not determine the final name you give your puppy in the passport/health card or identification chip, so if you get a name you don't like, nothing happens and you can call him/her whatever you want.

3. Is the Eurasier compatible with sport and is it quiet at the same time?

Yes, the Eurasier has a very good health and in general they are dogs with a good resistance, so you can take them for long walks without any problem. This breed, has the particularity that, if one day you can not give them a long walk, but you stay with them at home, they will be calm at your side and will not be nervous, if you are with them they do not need to do much physical exercise. Even so, it is important to remember that for any dog to be balanced, it is important to go out for physical exercise and to let them socialise with other dogs throughout their life.

4. What guarantees and after-sales treatment are the puppies delivered with?

You can consult us about any doubt you may have once the puppy is already in your home. As for the guarantee, we offer two weeks of viral guarantee and 2 years of genetic guarantee.

In addition, if for any reason in the future you can not take care of him, we adopt him and take care of him.

5. Does the Eurasier lose hair?

Yes, he sheds like any other dog. In our opinion, the long hair of a dog is easier to clean than short hair. The Eurasier's coat is long and forms hairballs when it is moulting.

The Eurasier moults twice a year and when you notice these hairballs around the house, you should increase brushing to remove all the dead hair or take him to a groomer to be bathed and brushed. During the rest of the year it is not necessary to brush him daily and once a week is more than enough. It is not a breed that sheds a lot of hair if it is not moulting and it is not a breed that gets a lot of knots if you do not brush it.

6. How hot is it in summer?

As far as heat is concerned, Eurasiers have two layers of hair, an inner and an outer layer. When they are hot, they lose the inner layer, so we can say that in summer they regulate themselves to be less hot. Obviously, they feel the heat, but their hair helps them to protect themselves in winter from the cold and in summer from the heat. Because they can self-regulate, they are more resistant to temperature changes than dogs with short hair.

7. Is your diet important?

The food a dog eats is very important, especially when it is growing. A good diet translates into fewer health problems and a longer life for them.

From Euraluc we recommend that whenever possible not to give ultra-processed feed and to use cooked food or BARF diets. Euraluc's puppies are fed with mother's milk and with cooked food of the Animentafood brand (www.animentafood.com).

In addition, we will advise you on the best brands of food to give your puppy, taking into account the budget of each family.
